Us
We
are Harold & Helen Holmes
residing in Skowhegan, Maine and we have two grown sons. Harold
was trained at Missouri Auction School in Kansas City, Missouri to be a
professional auctioneer, and has an extensive business
background. We have been in the antique business since 1982, and
have been having Auctions since 1994. Harold enjoys outdoor
activities, and Helen enjoys working in her flower garden.
What
We Do
At Holmes Auction Center, we are
dedicated to the auction method of selling and have a well-established
business in Skowhegan. We provide a complete auction service in
estate, antiques, business liquidation, machinery consignment, and
other specialized auction sales including on-site auctions. We
provide all the requirements for a successful sale and we use the most
efficient techniques in advertising, organizing, inventorying, and
managing auctions.
We
pride ourselves in the proper
display, knowledge of merchandise, and careful attention to
details. An extensive mailing list, professional auction flyers
and advertising allow us to bring in the best buyers. Our method
of identifying lots and displaying merchandise helps us to effectively
meet our consignors and buyers needs. Appraisal services are
available upon request.

the Hall
We
have a modern 3500 sq. ft. auction
facility located at 605 Middle Road in Skowhegan, Maine. The
auction hall is handicap accessible, clean, well lit, and comfortable
with ample parking. Great food is sold at the concession.
There's always friendly and helpful staff.
